Arcade Fire's Win Butler did his best Kanye West impression Sunday night at the inaugural YouTube Music Awards.
The frontman interrupted a group of Taylor Swift fans who were accepting the award for YouTube Phenomenon on behalf of the absent country pop superstar.
Butler finished the 2009 MTV VMA spoof by dropping his microphone and walking off stage. But that wasn't his only appearance at the unscripted, live-streamed event. He and the rest of his Arcade Fire bandmates opened the ceremony with a performance of their new track "Afterlife."
Like the other performers, they created a live music video, directed by Spike Jonze and starring actress Greta Gerwig and a group of young dancers.
